Congratulazioni to John V. Rocco,
Italian-American of the Year for the 2015 St. Liberata Festival!

John RoccoThis year the Committee has chosen John as the Italian American of the Year. John, a lifelong resident of Patchogue remembers fondly the celebrations of this Feast from many years ago that were held on Waverly Avenue and was so happy to see it successfully revived again! The Festival is not only a great day for the Italians of our Village but also for folks of every heritage to come and enjoy a wonderful time of fun filled activities. Of course there will be fine Italian food and music as well as a host of activities that include a fantastic parade with the honoree leading the way. No Italian Feast would be complete without a procession of the Saint herself through the Festival. Also, it wouldn’t be Italian without some fierce Bocce Ball competition from both the old and new Patchogue Bocce Masters.
