Beautification Committee

CHAIRPERSON: Paula Murphy (Patchogue Garden Club)
For over 40 years, the Beautification Committee has devoted itself to gardening, conservation and beautification of the Greater Patchogue communities. The committee is responsible for planting design and implementation, the memorial bench program and a number of beautification projects for civic improvement. The annual Eloise Staudinger Beautification Fundraiser is the committee’s only fundraiser held every spring. This event helps to raise awareness and funds for the committee to continue its efforts to beautify the Greater Patchogue area.



Community Organization Active in Disaster (COAD)

CHAIRPERSON: Marian Russo (Village of Patchogue)
The Greater Patchogue COAD (Community Organization Active in Disaster) seeks to enhance citizen and community readiness through individual, organizational, faith-based, and business cooperation to support all-hazard preparedness, response, recover and mitigation. Cultural Heritage Committee

CHAIRPERSON: Thomas J. Keegan (Keegan & Keegan, Ross & Rosner)
The aim of the Cultural Heritage Committee is to plan, coordinate, promote and attend all community cultural events. This Committee coordinates the annual St. Patrick's Parade, the Passing of the Sash, the "May the Road Rise to Meet Ye" 5K Run and the St. Liberata Italian Festival, to name a few. These cultural events are essential in bringing both residents and visitors to our community.



Grants Committee

CHAIRPERSON: Lauren Nichols (Patchogue-Medford Public Library)
The mission of the Grants Committee is to seek and identify funding to provide financial resources that address quality of life issues for all businesses and residents of the Greater Patchogue community. Elected officials and their representatives who play a vital role in providing local, town, county, state and federal funds are also invited to attend these meetings. The Committee maintains an inventory of current grant applications and monitors the progress of each project until it is implemented.



Scholarship Committee

CHAIRPERSON: Karen King (Tall Tree Floral Designs of Patchogue)
The Scholarship Committee evaluates applications and assists in awarding scholarships to the young and aspiring business owners of our community.



Theatre Committee

CHAIRPERSON: Open
Our Theatre Committee produces shows at The Patchogue Theatre for Performing Arts, which includes preparing contracts with the artist and theatre; all backstage preparations, including food and other items required by the contract; and arrangements for the sound and lighting. Members write and send out press releases, mailings, ads, and programs for the show, as well as coordinate and attend the day of the event.



Waterfront Committee

CHAIRPERSON: Mark Miller (Harbor Crab Co.)
The Blessing of the Fleet on the Patchogue River that takes place on the first Sunday in June is an annual tradition. This Committee arranges for the boat and clergy, and does all of the advertisements. It also notifies the restaurants and marinas on the Patchogue River and the Great South Bay.
